Our Position

Solidarity with Romanian researchers

Eurocadres Congress declaration, Madrid, 20-21 October 2021

Eurocadres expresses its solidarity with FSLCPR and Romanian researchers, supporting firmly their demands on better use of European funds for the development of research institutes, the improvement of the legislation after the social partners' consultation and the allocation of 1% of GDP for scientific research and technological development in Romania, according to the commitments undertaken towards the European Commission.

This should begin with the 2022 Romanian budget and should include the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for Researcher Recruitment, and the definitions recognized for this sector in the Frascati Manual, which is recognized by the European Commission and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
